Her spouse, Johanna Leuchter, an emergency physician, will practice part-time and continue her MDiv studies at Seattle University in preparation for hospital chaplaincy. Their children, Courtney and Ryan, are thirty-something scientists living in Salt Lake City and Kansas City. Ryan and her husband Jason are the parents of Annabelle and Sophia.
